Students graduating into post-secondary opportunities are asked to document their learning, too often, by references to proxy measures, such as course grades, GPA, or transcripts. Badges and performance assessments cite evidence of direct demonstrations of learning. Teachers and a Researcher will share the experiences of building information-rich digital badges to broaden access to college credit and post-secondary opportunities. Participants will engage in guided discussions on what was learned from this assessment practice and what was learned from research on the efficacy and impact of the pilot digital badges.
